Kate Winslet Wins Libel Damages over Diet Claims

Kate Winslet has won undisclosed libel damages from a magazine that accused her of using a diet doctor. Britain's glossy Grazia magazine printed allegations in early February saying the five-time Oscar nominee had approached a doctor for help with her weight, despite the fact that she has previously said she will not bow to Hollywood pressure to be skinny. "I am delighted that this matter has been resolved, and the record set straight," Winslet said in a statement after Friday's win. "I am not a hypocrite. I have always been, and shall continue to be, honest when it comes to body/weight issues."
